Scribec ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you use the Scribec Android application. We are committed to transparency and securing your information.
Scribec captures your screen and audio to provide seamless recording and transcription features. Screen recordings and video files are stored entirely locally on your device. Our speech-to-text transcription feature requires sending audio data to Groq API for processing. Once transcribed, the resulting text is stored locally on your device.
All recordings, transcripts, chapters, and flashcards are stored locally on your device. You can delete all data at any time via Settings → Storage → Clear all recordings inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
To request deletion of any data processed by third parties (Groq, RevenueCat), contact us at the email below.
Scribec is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Scribec is a screen and audio recording application with AI-powered transcription, chapter generation, flashcards, and study tools. The App is available as a free tier (limited recordings) and as a paid subscription ("Scribec Pro") with unlimited access.
Scribec Pro is available as a monthly, 6-month, or annual subscription, billed through Google Play.
Free users may make a limited number of recordings before a subscription is required to continue.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Google Play account will be charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancel anytime via Google Play → Subscriptions → Scribec. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued.
We may change subscription prices with advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
You agree to use Scribec only for lawful purposes. You must not:
The Scribec app, UI, logo, and branding are owned by the developer. Your recordings and transcripts remain your own content. By using the transcription service, you grant Groq a limited license to process your audio for transcription only.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Transcription accuracy varies by audio quality, language, and accent. AI-generated content (chapters, summaries, flashcards) is provided for reference only and may not be 100% accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Scribec.
We reserve the right to update these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. We will update the "Last Updated" date to reflect changes.
These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or applicable legal channels.
